Lynda Hukins was born in the Kentish countryside, where she was educated during her early childhood.Her early work was wildlife with the inspiration for her work coming both from the countryside where she lives and also the coastal shoreline. The natural environment is a driving force for her work and when commissioned she portrays the spirit of the particular piece in a contemporary way.  Garden sculpture has taken a greater prominence in her recent work as her style has developed, however abstract pieces now also form part of her work.  All her pieces are produced in bronze.  She undertakes her sculpting from her studio, set in the beauty of the Weald countryside of Kent and has exhibited since 1992 in England and the Channel Islands.
