Edward Penstone was a London painter of genre and landscapes. He exhibited at the Royal Society of Artists Birmingham, the Dudley Gallery, the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool, Manchester City Art Gallery, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers and the Royal Hibernian Academy. Titles at the Royal Academy include "The Approach of Spring" 1877 and "Canterbury by Moonlight" 1896.
