Nick Poullis was born in Henley on Thames in 1974 and brought up in Amersham and now lives in France.  After studying at the University of East Anglia, Cambridge Campus, Cambridge gaining a B.A. Hons. in illustration he went on to illustrate books including The Constables of Horley Mill, by Clair Constable, published by Surrey Mills UK and the award winning The Voyage of the Arctic Tern by Hugh Montgomery published Candlewick Press U.S.A., Walker Books U.K. and Synapse, U.K.  His watercolours have been exhibited at the Royal Watercolour Society, the Royal Society of British Artists, Sunday Times Singer and Friedlander Exhibition, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, also at Art Galleries in London, Bristol, Reigate, Amersham and Sevenoaks and has appeared in articles in The Artist, The Artists and Illustrators Magazine and the International Artists Magazine.  He has won awards at the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.  He is an Associate Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and a book The Art of Nick Poullis, to be published by David and Charles, is planned for 2009.  Work by Nick Poullis is in the private collections of the Royal Air Force, St. John’s College, Cambridge, the Yorkshire Building Society and Baker Tilly Chartered Accountants.
