Peter van Breda was born in Zimbabwe in 1957 and has lived and painted in Britain for over twenty years. He enjoys travelling throughout Europe to the most dynamic towns and cities where he captures their essence through his distinctive style.  As a dedicated plein-air artist with complete commitment to his chosen subject, he is able to express his particular passion for Italy – many of his current paintings feature the rich cultural life of Venice and Tuscany.  He also enjoys painting in Paris and Rome. He exhibits in London, Ascot and Henley-on-Thames and his work is in collections throughout the world.
